Gonca Ongan graduated from Saint-Benoit French High School and received her BA in Economics from Istanbul University. After completing the Global MBA program at Fordham University in New York, she got her Ph.D. degree in European Economics from the Marmara University European Union Institute. Gonca Ongan, who specializes in sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and social impact management, has been working at Koç University since 2010, after having experience in the private sector, public sector, and civil society for more than ten years. Since November 2012, she has been working as executive director in KUSIF. At the same time, she co-teaches social entrepreneurship and social impact management courses at Koç University. Ongan, who gives consultancy and volunteer support in sustainability and social impact for different institutions is the founding member of the Turkish Social Entrepreneurship Network, and Açık Açık, transparency and accountably platform for NGOs and SEs. She also served at the advisory board of the International Sustainable Campus Network between 2016 and 2018. Since August 2021, Ongan has been at the monitoring committee of TÜBİTAK for societal impact projects of the research projects. Lastly, she has been at the Academic Advisory Committee of Teachers Academy Foundation (ÖRAV) since May 2023. Gonca Ongan is SDG Impact Accredited Trainer and Social Value International Level 1 Accredited Practitioner.
Agata Fortuna graduated from Lodz University Faculty of International Relations and Political Science in 2009 with a master’s degree. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Turkish Language and Literature in the Department of Philology at Jagiellonian University. Since 2009 she has been working in the field of civil society in Turkey. She took part in different national and international projects targeting the capacity building of young people, cultural learning and dialogue in a conflict environment, social technology, and social entrepreneurship. She was a board member of YouthBank International between 2014 and 2020. Since 2015, she has worked as a Project and Training Senior Specialist at the Koç University Social Impact Forum. Within the field of social impact management, she develops guidance, training, and delivers consultancy to non-governmental organization, social enterprises and private sector organizations. She co-teaches social entrepreneurship and social impact management courses at Koç University. She is Social Value International Level 3 Accredited Practitioner and Trainer, as well as Accredited Trainer for SDG Impact Standards.
Ayşegül Taşıtman has been involved in feminist movement during her sociology education in Ege University. She worked as an intern at Simone De Beauvoir Institute in Concordia University, Montreal. In 2009, she became a member of Amargi Women’s Academy where she later on worked as project coordinator in 2011 and 2012. She has taken part in different women’s platforms working on abortion bans, femicide, local women forums for feminist policy-making in Istanbul. She received her MA in General Sociology and Methodology at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and wrote her thesis on male circumcision and masculinity. In 2013, her project on abortion in Turkey was awarded with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute Human Rights Research Grant. Between 2013-2015, she worked as a research assistant in Education Reform Initiative. Besides research projects, she also took part in monitoring and evaluation of Purple Certificate Program as a specialist. Between 2016-2018, she worked as the Coordinator of Purple Certificate Program in Sabanci University with an aim to raise gender awareness of high school teachers and university students. Ayşegül has been working as a consultant and measurement expert in various institutions such as Kodluyoruz Foundation and UNDP. Since June 2019, she works as a Project Specialist at Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF).
In 2015, she graduated from Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology and got her minor in Social Psychology. She has participated in various non- profit organizations as a volunteer. She has been working at Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF) since March 2016. She also graduated from her master’s degree at İstanbul University in Non-Profit Organizations and Social Responsibility Management in 2020.
In 2013, she graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration. Since 2010, she has voluntarily involved in various national and international projects of various non-governmental organizations. In addition to her interest areas like youth, social exclusion, communication, and volunteer management, she also worked at different companies’ education departments and also non-governmental organizations. Currently, she is working at Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF) and at the same time, she continues her master’s degree from Marmara University, Faculty of Business Administration, Social Project Management and Organization.
After graduating from Robert College in 2001, she completed her undergraduate studies in Social and Political Sciences with a scholarship from Sabancı University. Subsequently, she completed her master’s degree in Human Rights and Anthropology (MSc) at London School of Economics (LSE) as a joint scholar from TEV and British Chevening. She received her Ph.D. in Amsterdam from Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis in 2011. She worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF) and she gave lectures about social impact and social entrepreneurship at Koç University Graduate School of Business. Currently, she lives in Amsterdam and works as a researcher at VU Amsterdam.
Duygu Güner graduated from Saint-Joseph French High School and completed her undergraduate education in International Relations at Istanbul Bilgi University on a full scholarship. Then in 2008, Duygu completed her master’s degree in sociology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Duygu earned her Ph.D. in sociology from MSGSU and her research focused on CSOs.
She has been working professionally in the field of civil society since 2009. Having worked within the KUSIF team full time from 2013 to 2017, Duygu started working as an independent evaluator for CSR and CSO projects and collaborating with KUSIF as an affiliated researcher. Project management, social impact measurement, youth work, and experiential learning methods are among the areas of her expertise.
