The eighth seminar of the YoungTalks series was organized on November 6, 2014. We welcomed two speakers from different areas with complementary presentations.  Firstly Sayat Tekir, one of the founders of Nor Zartonk, gave a speech entitled Armenians and Nor Zartonk After Hrant Dink.  He focused in particular on how the effects of Dink’s assassination went beyond the Armenian community of Turkey and transformed the entire society. Following Sayat Tekir, Didem Seyis, a Ph.D student from the department of Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University, gave a presentation on the identities of Turkey’s religious and ethnic communities represented in contemporary primary school textbooks.
