Social Value UK (SVUK) is a membership organization that has provided training, research, and consultancy services to a range of private, public, and third sector organizations in social value measurement and management. They are recognized as one of the world-leading organizations in the area of social value and are the home of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology.

SVUK and Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF) will organize the Social Return on Investment (SROI) Accredited Practitioner Training on 14-15 October 2019 in Istanbul. This training has been delivered by Social Value UK for over 10 years. Delivered by Dr. Adam Richards as a very interactive workshop, it equips attendees with an understanding of the key conceptual issues of impact measurement and management and examines each of the practical requirements to successfully complete an impact assessment. Learners are supported through the use of case examples and the application of the ideas to their own case study.

The course is accredited by Social Value International (SVI) and all attendees who complete receive certification to recognize their involvement. This is an essential requirement for those individuals that subsequently wish to become an accredited Practitioner.

Trainers of Training

Adam Richards, joined SVUK in 2016 as Senior Researcher on the European Commission project SPRINT to apply the principles of social value to long-term care for frail older people across 11 European states. Before joining SVUK he lectured at universities for over 10 years and has a Ph.D. from Liverpool John Moores University investigating the legitimizing effects of SROI is a social enterprise. Adam has worked with a number of organizations to help them better understand, measure and manage their social impacts. He is also a member of SVUK’s UK Council and acts as a critical friend to the FRC Group, as part of their Social Value Sub-Committee. Currently, as well as working at SVUK, Adam also works with Mantel Gwynedd, the County Voluntary Council for Gwynedd, North Wales, to embed social value into their practices and assist their members.

Agata Fortuna, In 2009, she graduated with a master’s degree from Lodz University, International Relations, and Political Science Faculty. She received her BA in Philological Studies from Jagiellonian University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. Since 2009, working in the field of civil society in Turkey. She participates in different national and international projects of youth capacity building, cultural learning and conflict dialogue, social technology and social entrepreneurship. She is currently the chairman of the board of directors at YouthBank International. Currently, She is the Senior Project and Training Specialist and has been working in KUSIF since 2015.

Ceyda Özgün, after graduating from Bilkent University, Department of International Relations in 2006, she started to work at Yüksel Holding in Corporate Communications Department. She completed the MBA program at Bilkent University and immediately received her Master’s Degree in Responsible Management from Steinbeis University in Germany. In 2015, she founded Atlı Consultancy and started to provide consultancy to the private sector and NGOs. In 2017 she attended SROI Accredited Practitioner Training in London and right after she has become first Accredited Practitioner in Turkey with her SROI Analysis practice.
