Armin Keso

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, the University of Sarajevo and received the Master's degree in 2016, holding a Bachelor's degree in the same field. Specialized in conceptualization, design and visualization. A CEO of a social impact business currently in development.

Agata Fortuna

Graduated from the Faculty of International and Political Studies of Lodz University (Poland) in 2007 receiving Master’s Degree. She holds also Bachelor’s degree in Oriental Philology-Turcology from Jagiellonian Univresity. Since 2009 Agata has been working in the civil society field in Turkey. She was involved in various national and international projects on youth empowerment, intercultural learning and dialog in conflict setting, social technology and social entrepreneurship. Agata is also the Chairperson of the YouthBank International Board of Directors.

Ayşe Sabuncu

Ayşe Sabuncu is one of the co-founders of Impact Hub Istanbul. After completing her undergraduate studies with a double major in computer engineering and business at Johns Hopkins University, Sabuncu started her career in banking industry at Citi Group in New York where she served at different levels for 5 years. While working at Citi Group, through Adım Adım (Step by Step) Initiative she came across a fundraising project for the welfare of the youth “Gençlere Değer Projesi” by Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı (Community Volunteer Foundation). In support of this cause, Sabuncu climbed Kilimanjaro Mountain with her friends and after this experience she decided to give another direction to her life. She did an MBA program at Stern School of New York University to advance her knowledge on social impact, innovation and entrepreneurship. She specifically focused on social entrepreneurship, microfinance and social investment subjects. In the summer of 2014, she started working in the field of microfinance with Kiva - a global non-profit organization - in Zimbabwe and South Africa where she was introduced to Impact Hub. In the last two years, Sabuncu and her partners have been working on mapping and analysis of social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey. Having moved in their new home at İstanbul’s upcoming industrial district 4.Levent Sanayi in June 2016, Ayşe Sabuncu believes that Impact Hub Istanbul will be the meeting point of all impact driven individuals as well as serving as an inspirational space to foster social innovation.

Ben Carpenter

Ben Carpenter is operations manager for Social Value UK. In addition, he oversees the development of online resources specifically the Global Value Exchange and the social value self-assessment tool. He also manages the assurance & accreditation services for Social Value International. Ben sits on the Judging panel for the SE100 index and is part of the OECD working group on Social Impact Data. Before working for SVUK Ben had a career in Property Development, Social Housing and the Homelessness Sector. He also holds degrees in Politics & Communications and the Built Environment.

Cem Baytok

Cem has over fifteen years of PE/VC and over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience. Since 2003, He took managing director and lead investment manager roles in Turkey in investment funds where he made many PE/VC investments at different sizes (250k-100m USD), have worked on different asset classes and financial structures (Growth PE, VC, LBO, MBO, ABS, IPO and M&A) and concentrated on different industries (system integration, internet enabled services, financial services, logistics, agriculture and cleantech). He also worked at CXO levels in several of investments, taking on post investment management responsibilities.

Ceyda Demirkurt

Graduated from Business Administration Department of Galatasaray University in 2017. As of December 2016, she participated in E-Bursum team. She started to get interested in social impact after working with E-Bursum and she wrote his license thesis on utilization of social impact reporting as a marketing tool. She currently works as General Coordinator and manages social impact process of E-Bursum.

Dan Gregory

Dan has been working to support social enterprises for the last ten years, developing policy at the highest level, working around the world and delivering in practice at the grassroots. He has worked for the UK Treasury and the Cabinet Office and is Director of Policy at Social Enterprise UK.

Elif Urgan

Elif Urgan holds M.A from Sabanci University on European Studies, and B.A from Istanbul Bilgi University on Psychology and on Media and Communication Systems. Her work experience on development projects started during her B.A studies in 2008. Her career as project analyst started in 2012 specializing in social impact, stakeholder mapping, M&E strategies and community development programs. Following 2013, she continued to build her expertise on wide - scaled research development on the field of sustainability, sustainability reporting (GRI Reporting), content development for conferences on sustainable business models as well as sustainability awards, and corporate communication management. She continues her career at Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting focusing on sustainable development, community investment, CSR, social impact and M&E.

Faisel Rahman OBE

Faisel has worked in the field of financial exclusion for nearly 20 years. Initially with the Grameen and World Bank in Bangladesh, for the last 17 years he focused his work in the UK and Europe. In 2000 he set up the first microcredit program in London’s east end, and in 2005 launched Fair Finance, a social enterprise tackling financial exclusion in the UK. Faisel was the elected President of the European Microfinance Network (2010-15) and writes an occasional column for the Guardian Newspaper on issues around financial exclusion. In 2007 he was elected an Ashoka Fellows and in 2009 was recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. In 2014 he was awarded an OBE by the Queen for services to Community Finance. In 2015 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of East London

Jaan Aps

As a chairman and co-founder of the Estonian Social Enterprise Network (ESEN), Jaan Aps leads one of the strongest social enterprise support organisations in Northern Europe. Its mission is to increase the number, capacity and societal impact of social enterprises. In 2013, Jaan was elected as a ´Mission person of the year´ by the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations for his long-term commitment to promoting societal impact analysis. He is a member of GECES, the European Commission´s Expert Group on Social Entrepreneurship. His speaking engagements have included Canada, Denmark, France, Italy and Moldova. Jaan holds an MA degree in Economics. Before co-founding ESEN, he helped to scale up high-impact initiatives in the Good Deed Foundation, the first venture philanthropy organisation in the Baltics. 

Jeremy Nicholls

Jeremy Nicholls is the Chief Executive of Social Value International and Social Value UK. These are membership networks for those interested in measuring, managing and accounting for their social value, united by a common vision of changing the way the world accounts for value. He is also a director of the FRC Group (a social business based in Liverpool), a member of the IRIS advisory committee, a contributor to the Social Stock Exchange admissions panel, on the ICAEW Assurance Panel, and a member of the Social Impact Measurement Sub-group of GECES for the EU. Jeremy is a regular speaker and writer on social value including 'There is no business like Social Business' with Liam Black, a number of SROI guides including the 'Guide to SROI' and a column for Pioneers Post.

Gonca Ongan

After graduating from Saint-Benoit Private French High School, Gonca Ongan completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at İstanbul University. Afterwards, she received her master's degree in global MBA in Fordham University, New York. Then she continued to her postgraduate studies at the Marmara University European Union Institute in Economics of European Union. Following her experiences in the field of private sector, public sector and civil society, she started working in Koç University in 2010. Her research field is "Sustainability and Social Impact" and she has been working in KUSIF since 2012. She is the founding member of AÇIK AÇIK Platform promoting individual donation and fostering transparency & accountability among civil society organizations in Turkey. She has been at the board of directors of AÇIK AÇIK since November 2016. Additionally, she was elected to the advisory board of International Sustainable Campus Network in March 2016 by the member universities.

Hans H. Wahl

Hans joined INSEAD in 2007. He has more than 35 years of experience in education, management, and economic and political development in over 40 countries.  Mr. Wahl’s current work at INSEAD focuses on programme development, educational design, and social impact assessment.  He is also a member of The Value Web and a founding director of the Governance and Justice Group, a multi-disciplinary group that carries out research and advises on issues of access to justice, rule of law and human rights. He established UNESCO's Poverty and Human Rights Programme and held senior positions at Amnesty International, Penal Reform International, and community development organizations.  Mr. Wahl has launched several social ventures including a sustainable tourism organisation in the high Caucuses of Georgia.  He has studied, written and consults on issues of civil society development, human rights, and capacity building worldwide. He holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and based in Paris.

Kıvanç Çubukçu

Kivanc is a principle at KOIS Invest, a pioneering impact investing and innovative finance firm headquartered in Brussels. Among other responsibilities, Kivanc leads the firm’s innovative finance work on the refugee topic where he is currently structuring a development impact bond on improving livelihoods of refugees and vulnerable population in the Middle East.  Prior to joining KOIS Invest, he worked at The Global Fund to launch an e-marketplace for procurement of global public health goods and services. He has worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company’s Brussels and Istanbul offices, leading projects for clients across Europe and the Middle East. Kivanc holds an MBA from INSEAD and Masters in Development Economics from Yale University.

Luca Mantoan

Born in 1978 he has a degree in Modern Literature. He worked as a journalist and was active for several years: from 1998 to 2002 as editor in chief of the business communities bulletin by the press agency Mediapress; in 2002 as correspondent of RSI (national Swiss radio). He also worked in northern-Italy local tv and Italian cultural magazines. He joined UniCredit Foundation in 2004, thus accompanying the foundation from the early stages of its establishment. On behalf of the Foundation he deals with external and internal communication and media strategy. He is member of the steering committee of the Grantmakers East Forum (European Foundation Centre).

Mesut Keskin

Founder of E-Bursum, a social enterprise which helps students to find funds and scholarships to continue their educations. Mesut continues his MSc. degree in Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University and holds BSc. in Computer Engineering from Galatasaray University. He has represented Turkey in many national and international areas. Eventually, he represented Turkey at the United Nations Youth Council. He dedicates himself to solve social problems especially in education. He has been selected as one of the “10 Young Social Entrepreneur” of the year 2015 by International Youth Foundation, Laurate Universities and Bilgi University. Member of Ashoka Changemakers Community and finalist of Ashoka – SAP Turkey “Hızlan Fark Yarat” Program, UNDP “Accelerator2030” and Chobani Hamdi Ulukaya Initiative.

Murat Çitilgülü

Murat is the Inclusive Business and Partnerships Consultant of the UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD), UNDP’s global policy center tasked with leading the organization's strategic work with the private sector and foundations globally, including defining the role of the private sector and philanthropy in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. At the IICPSD, Murat is coordinating an international multi-year research program measuring companies' awareness and engagement of inclusive business models and leading the Center's work on inclusive value chains. He was involved in the development of Center's tools to improve the private sector's role in addressing global issues, as well as the publications such as the G20 Inclusive Business Frameworkand Business+: A New, Sustainable and Innovative Private Sector. Prior to joining the IICPSD, he worked for UNDP Turkey and Turkish Ministry of Economy.

Samira Nuhanović Ribić

Samira Nuhanović Ribić is the director of Social Business Incubator at Mozaik Foundation, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She obtained her PhD in Italy at the University of Trento and European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises. In 2007, Samira graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK, with an MPhil in International Relations. Samira has more than ten years of professional experience with public and international institutions in BiH and abroad.

Seçil Kınay

Seçil Kınay serves as the Special Projects Manager in the Vehbi Koç Foundation since 2007, overseeing the projects and programs on education, culture and healthcare. She is coordinating joint programs of the Foundation with the Koç Holding and Koç Group Companies and is responsible for the partnerships with the national and international institutions. Seçil received her undergraduate degree in Sociology and MA degree in Anatolian Civilizations and Cultural Heritage Management from Koç University, İstanbul.

Serra Titiz

Serra Titiz has been working on sustainable development since 2003. She worked with youth, with women and vocational groups at large NGOs at managerial levels, has participated to international programs on NGOs and Civic Activism. Her work has always been a reflection of social innovation. Today, Serra Titiz is the founder and the managing director of a social enterprise: Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting, in Istanbul, Turkey. Mikado, is a social enterprise that crafts models for sustainable development. Mikado develops models through viable partnerships among private sector, civil society, educational institutions and public organizations and through mobilizing and matching existing resources with the needs of the society. Mikado is one of the first B Corp Companies in Turkey and honored as "Best for the World" and "Best for the Community" four year in a row for creating most overall positive social and environmental impact.

Zeynep Gürhan Canlı

Zeynep Gürhan-Canlı is the Dean and Migros Professor of Marketing in the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Koç University. Her recent research with UNDP IICPSD focuses on inclusive business. Her other research interests include consumer information processing in relation to branding and corporate image (brand relationships, co-branding, brand extensions, brand communications, corporate social responsibility), consumer fears and experiences. She completed her Ph.D. in marketing at New York University, Stern School of Business in 1997. Prior to joining Koç University, she was a faculty member in the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She was the Director of the Graduate School of Business at Koç University between 2010 and 2016. A study published in Journal of Marketing cited her among the top 50 most prolific scholars in the leading marketing journals during 1982-2006 by adjusted publication rate.

Zeynep Meydanoğlu

Zeynep is the Turkey country director for Ashoka - the leading global platform for social entrepreneurs and changemakers across 88 countries. Prior to Ashoka, Zeynep was the Program Director of TÜSEV (Third Sector Foundation of Turkey), the country's leading think-tank and umbrella organization for non-profits. She has10 years of experience in capacity building, infrastructure development and innovating for a stronger civil society and philanthropy in Turkey. Zeynep is also a deputy board member of Destek Vakfi (Foundation for Supporting Civil Society) and supports several women’s organizations on a volunteer basis. Born and raised mostly in Istanbul, Turkey, Zeynep has a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Cultural Studies from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She currently attends Istanbul Bilgi University’s MA Program in Human Rights Law.
